BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Guangdong Verbund site project would be BASF’s largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.
Provide support, guidance and analytical expertise on total compensation & benefits practices, policies and programs to attract, retain and motivate talented people for the business growth. Counsel and partner with site HRs and management teams on responsible compensation & benefits matters.
Work together with CoE Compensation & Benefit and the site HR teams to develop, implement and manage competitive and cost-efficient programs that will assist with employee retention and attract talents on site
Conduct competitor’s market research and monitor local compensation trends and provide the data analysis on the impact of relevant developments in the compensation areas.
Support site HR to communicate the C&B policies, proceudres to respective business managers & employees
Support employee transfers in package calculation, handling payroll, benefit de-registration and registration, tax filing, etc.
Deliver the trainings to site HRs on compensation philosophy, policies etc. to ensure the understanding and ution process
Work with finance team and site HRs to make the annual budget making and controlling
Drive the annual salary review cycle on site with evaluation on business factors, market competitiveness, internal equity and performance results
Focal point with BASF Shared Service Center on HR service topics, for example, payroll, tax, data analysis, reporting, time management …
Manage external vendors for efficient & effective HR service delivery, i.e. employee assistance, social security, medical check-up, commercial insurance …etc.
Responsible for reviewing and updating related employment templates to keep compliance with labor laws & local regulations, policies on site
Support relevant internal/external audit and reporting
Support HR projects on process optimization, automation and digitalization
Bachelor’s Degree on HR or Finance preferred
At least 10 years’ experience in C&B area, manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledgeable on labor laws and regulations
Creative thinking & solution driven, ability to achieve goals through direct and indirect influence to stakeholders
Effective communication skill, both oral & written
Strong analytical skills, have good sense of quality
Be mature and self-motivated under pressure
Proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint
